Lisa Cant With Eighty White Rabbits
Chiswick, West London, 2004 - British Vogue
“Lisa Cant’s Hefner-esque outfit is by Luella (with rabbit ears borrowed from BBC Costumes & Wigs). She says she had a lot of fun making this picture because she ‘adores rabbits’ having kept many as pets. She acknowledged that they don’t make the best models as they ‘wouldn’t keep still’. Further unprofessionalism manifested itself in their ‘poo-ing on the carpet and hiding underneath chairs’. Because of the ears and bow-tie, perhaps, this picture nonplussed her uncle, who assumed she had ‘done Playboy magazine’. Which she has not. Tim wanted the rabbits to signify The Pied Piper, which, of course, is not how the poem-cum-fairytale is best remembered, but ‘we didn’t want rats’, explains Tim, ‘because rats aren’t very Vogue’.”- excerpt from Tim Walker: Pictures
